Donor Family Services Coordinator

Responsibilities
Responds to the needs of organ donor families by developing and implementing appropriate after-care services, including grief counseling and bereavement support; by coordinating projects, programs and special events that promote the donor families’ experiences; and by facilitating communication between donor families and transplant recipients. Collaborates on other LifeQuest and donor program development projects and campaigns as needed. Must demonstrate ability to work independently, find creative solutions to problems and develop innovative ideas.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, health sciences, social work or other related field and two years of case management, social work, hospice, grief counseling or related experience; or two years of related donor family aftercare experience within an organ procurement organization (OPO), tissue bank or eye bank. Must have exceptional writing, proofreading, communications, critical thinking and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills required.
Reports to director of donor program development.
