From Meira
Two openings that stay open
Domain expert advisor
Somewhere in this field there is a coordinator who taught themselves enough SQL to stop waiting three weeks for a report. Who keeps the spreadsheet an entire department quietly runs on. Who automated a piece of their own job because nobody else was going to. That combination of clinical judgment and real technical ability is far rarer than the people who have it tend to believe, and it is almost never the thing they are paid for.
It runs the other way too. If you build for a living and cannot stop reading about donation and transplant, you are the other half of the same invitation. What is scarce on that side is not engineering. It is an engineer who knows why a field is null nine times out of ten, and can tell a real signal from an artifact of how the record was entered.
This is not a request for a resume in the first instance. Tell us what you have built and what you have seen.
What we are asking for
- Direct working experience in one of the twelve role domains this board covers, or professional engineering, data, or analytics work you can point to.
- Working SQL, and Python or TypeScript you have used on a real problem rather than in a course.
- You read primary sources rather than summaries of them: the CMS Conditions for Coverage, OPTN policy notices, SRTR and HCRIS releases.
- You have built something other people came to depend on, however small, and can show it.
- Available for narrowly scoped part-time work, remote, alongside whatever you do now.
Independent donation and transplant professionals
Take assignments through MeiraWorks anywhere across donation and transplant, on your own credentials and your own schedule. You are never Meira’s employee. We handle the paperwork around the engagement and the organization you work with makes its own call on who works there.
What we are asking for
- Active, unrestricted licence or certification for the work you intend to take.
- Documented experience in the role, verifiable against the credential you hold.
- Willing to complete identity and credential verification before any assignment.
Terms are settled individually and in writing before any work begins.
