At LifeShare Network, you'll become part of a mission-driven team devoted to honoring every gift, supporting every family, and advancing the field of organ donation and transplantation.

Your Impact

As a Donation Services Coordinator, you'll serve as a critical first point of contact for organ, eye, and tissue donor referrals. Working primarily by phone, you'll communicate with hospital staff, donor families, medical professionals, and other partners to evaluate potential donation opportunities and help coordinate the donation process.

This role combines compassionate communication, medical screening, critical thinking, and attention to detail. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly and the work you do can directly contribute to saving and healing lives.

What You'll Do

  • Receive and coordinate incoming organ, eye, and tissue donor referrals.
  • Communicate with hospital staff to gather medical information and evaluate potential donor eligibility.
  • Perform initial triage and medical screening of potential donors.
  • Present donation opportunities to families with empathy, sensitivity, and professionalism.
  • Obtain informed authorization for donation from appropriate legal next of kin.
  • Conduct detailed donor risk assessment and medical/social history interviews with families.
  • Create and maintain accurate donor records and complete required documentation within established timeframes.
  • Communicate with hospitals, medical examiners, funeral homes, tissue partners, and other healthcare professionals throughout the donation process.
  • Coordinate follow-up activities and communicate critical medical information to internal and external partners.
  • Support clinical and recovery teams with ongoing case activity and operational needs.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in a schedule that ensures LifeShare Network is available to serve donors, families, and hospitals 24/7/365.
