More than a thousand patients have undergone transplants at Cedars-Sinai since the Heart Transplant Program was established in 1988, according to UNOS. Because we treat more of these patients than any other center in the United States, we can tailor our approach to each individual's needs.
The Transplant Coordinator I is involved with the planning and coordination of routine to moderately complex perioperative and intraoperative transplant process. The Transplant Coordinator I supports the donor offers and coordinates with the interdisciplinary services to determine viability.
Qualifications
- Current California RN License required
- BLS from the American Heart Association required
- CCRN Acute/Critical Care Nursing, PCCN Progressive Care Nursing or other specialty certification required
- Certified Clinical Transplant Nurse (CCTN) preferred (or willing to obtain within one year from start date)
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of Critical Care experience required, preferably in a cardiac setting
- Organ transplantation experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of case management required
- Experience in data management preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively coordinate all aspects of patient care required
- Current California RN License required
