Responsibilities The Cardiovascular Perfusionist oversees the operation, maintenance and application of circulation technology applications, providing age-appropriate care to patients of all ages. This includes, but is not limited to, cardiopulmonary bypass, autologous blood recovery/blood conservation, ventricular support, left heart conterpulsation, myocardial preservation, anticoagulation and hematologic monitoring/analysis, physiologic monitoring/analysis, blood gas and chemistry monitoring/analysis, induction of hypothermia/hyperthermia with reversal, hemodilution, hemofiltration, organ preservation, surgical assisting, as well as administration of medications, blood components and anesthetic agents via the extracorporeal circuit and any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree Certified Clinical Perfusionist Within 1 year Desired: Three years of experience as a Cardiovascular Perfusionist Bachelor's degree and certificate of completion from CAAHEP accredited program in circulation technology Required: Bachelor's Degree Certified Clinical Perfusionist Within 1 year Desired: Three years of experience as a Cardiovascular Perfusionist Bachelor's degree and certificate of completion from CAAHEP accredited program in circulation technology
